Born from Vision, Built on Excellence

Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited was incorporated in 1999 as a bold vision shared by Nigerian investors and the Delta State Government. We didn't just enter Nigeria's upstream energy sector — we set out to transform it through indigenous excellence and innovation.

In 2003, we achieved a historic milestone by securing 70% operating interest in the Umusadege Field located in PML 22 (formerly OML 56) in the northern area of Delta State, Nigeria. This marked the beginning of our journey as operators, with SunTrust Atlantic Energies as our Joint Venture Partner holding 30% interest.

By 2005, we commenced our upstream activities, and what followed was a series of groundbreaking achievements that would establish us as West Africa's premier indigenous E&P operator.
